Artist Statement

The goal of my work is to express color in all its beauty. I also use it as an opportunity to explore the range of possibilities allowed through different methods of application. I don’t seek to present overly-complex theories or ideas. I do not believe that it would be an unreasonable assumption to suggest that a painting should be first and foremost, a painting. Meanings are extra layers, not the foundation. I myself am the self-taught artist of many mediums. In layman’s terms, I’m a in the moment artist.
